Creating Paradise in Lenoir
This past weekend, my husband and I installed a stained glass window for a couple who recently moved to Lenoir. If you follow me on social media or get my newsletter, you might have seen some behind-the-scenes photos and videos of the process.
The couple loved their new home but found that too much light came through their bedroom window. The previous owners had used a shade, but my clients wanted something more unique—something that would soften the light while adding color and personality to their space. When they came to my studio to look at glass options, they were drawn to deep, bold colors but also wanted a few bright accents to keep it interesting. We worked together to create a design and select glass that felt right for them.
On installation day, they stayed in another part of the house because they wanted to experience a “big reveal” moment. When they finally saw it, Ellen said she loved it so much that she got chills. To me, that was the best response—it meant the window really connected with them. Every client is different. Some want to be involved in all the decisions, while others prefer to let me take the lead. Either way, my goal is always the same: to create something that feels like it belongs perfectly in their home.
I named my business Paradise Custom Glass because I love helping people bring their personal vision of paradise to life. When a finished piece is installed and feels just right in their space, I know I’ve done my job.
