One of the most common requests I get from clients is to create a window that preserves the natural light in their home while maintaining their privacy. Often they have sidelights (windows next to their front door) and they love the way they look and the brightness they offer but they feel exposed because of the clear glass. Or they have a window in a bathroom that they don’t want to cover with a curtain and lose the daylight but they need to have some privacy. It’s a common problem and a stained glass window created with textured clear glass is a great solution. Because it is something that has come up so frequently, I knew exactly what I wanted to say when I received a request to comment on a blog piece that was being written by Mike Cahill at Redfin. The article, “Tips for Enhancing Natural Light,” has great suggestions from experts (ha ha! I’m an expert!) about how people can maximize the natural light in their home. Check it out- there are some great, practical suggestions and some gorgeous photos that might inspire you!
