Feeling the love

The other morning I woke up thinking about how cool it would look to create a fused glass anatomical heart for Valentine’s Day. This is not how I always wake up— often my thoughts are more along the lines of, “how is it morning already?” Or “why does the cat always lie across the bed?” But with an anatomical heart in mind, I set about making this piece. I’m going to create some more traditional heart shaped pieces, maybe some little dichroic hearts for earrings and necklaces too. And probably some rainbow hearts because love is love. Commissions are keeping me busy but it’s always nice to take a little break and make something that pops into my mind. Maybe next I’ll make a piece showing the cat trying to push me out of bed.
